I've had claims where people have been killed by tires or tires and rims coming apart. Very sad

This guy was not killed, but I think it gets the point across:

It’s not a bizarre accident I’m afraid but one which happens all too often.
You need one of these:

FYI, John Wayne Airport is in Orange County, CA. Definitely not Texas.

My dad has been in aviation for almost 60 years and loves to casually mention that tires are the most dangerous maintenance item (in terms of casualties and accidents).
I have to wonder if these guys were following procedure or just making a totally dope YouTube video in their spare time. The fact that I even wonder that makes me weep for society. Tide Pods were my turning point.

And take note what a tire explosion can do to one of those:
If it does that to steel bars, you won’t like what it can do to you without the cage.

You held out longer than I did.
The morons with the .50 Desert Eagle and the dictionary ended my hopes for humanity.

Mechanical energy storage is fucking scary. From perfectly fine to completely fucked without you ever knowing.

One worker was on top of the tire, and the other on the bottom, when it exploded.
How does that work?

I was guessing it was elevated and the “bottom” worker was actually to the side, but ¯\_()_/¯

In tech school they showed us pictures of the aftermath of not following the tech data. Never once did I or anyone had to stand on top of a tire to fix something. Always to the side when working with air or pressure
